Kiosk

on-situ transforms a kiosk for a weekend into a small theater of images.

The entertaining function of the bandstand was slowly abandoned. Although it remains a familiar, popular object in the urban landscape, its use has become foreign to us. on-situ restores this architecture to its original vocation: a place of cultural dissemination for a popular audience.
On the different sides of the "kiosk" are distributed photographic images. Like the zootrope, they are revealed in a rotating movement, on several sides simultaneously, to tell us simple, harmless or everyday stories: amateur views, reports on the sequenced construction of neighbourhoods in Chalon-sur-Saône... The stories build a surprising journey through the collections of the Niépce Museum.
